My Department provides funding through an annual competitive Music Bursary Scheme for non-mainstream music education initiatives outside of school and school curriculum. The nature of the scheme is that it is based on certain eligibility criteria, and I understand that the organisation in question applied for funding this year but did not meet the eligibility criteria.

I can further advise the Deputy that, funding choices regarding educational materials, textbooks, and other educational products as well as services, are made by individual schools and their boards of management.
