An Post has statutory responsibility for the State’s postal service and the post office network. An Post is a commercial State company with a mandate to act commercially and, as such, day to day operational matters, including decisions in relation to the size, distribution, and future of the network, are matters for the Board and the management of the company directly.

Operational matters relating to the post office network are a matter for the Board and management of An Post and and as such the matter to which you refer is not one in which I, as Minister, have a role.
