The Central Statistics Office (CSO), as the national statistical agency, is responsible for the compilation and publication of all crime statistics.
The CSO produces these statistics using data recorded on An Garda Síochána’s PULSE system and makes regular releases in relation to various crime statistics. The most recent statistics were released on 07 November 2025, providing statistics for Recorded Crime for Quarter 2 2025.
Figures in respect of criminal offences reported to Gardaí, by Garda Region, Division, Station, type of offence and year or quarter can be found on the CSO website at the following link: www.cso.ie/en/releasesandpublications/ep/p-rc/recordedcrimeq22025/data/.

The Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána under Section 33 of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024, which includes all operational policing matters and the distribution and stationing of Garda personnel, including opening hours of Garda Stations, throughout the State. The Commissioner is independent in the performance of his functions under Section 34 of the Act and, as Minister, I have no role in these independent functions.
In the interest of transparency, information in relation to the opening hours of individual Garda Stations is publicly available and can be found at the following link. www.garda.ie/en/contact-us/station-directory/.
The Deputy may wish to note that within the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) there are a total of eight Garda Stations in DMR West, six of which operate 24/7 and a total of six Garda Stations in DMR East, five of which operate 24/7.
In relation to Garda stations which are not open to the public on a 24/7 basis, telephone calls to a station during periods of closure are automatically routed to the nearest 24-hour station in the Community Engagement Area.
In cases of emergency, any person should call the 999 or 112 emergency service for an urgent Garda response.
