The Taoiseach and I met again with the group referred to by the Deputy on Monday 10 November. This followed on from previous meetings held and the mediation process that had been put in place. We further discussed the issues of concern to the survivors and noted progress that had been made in seeking a resolution. The group was provided with a letter from the Taoiseach which outlined the position.

Following this the group agreed to cease their hunger strike protest and to use the mediation process to work through the detail the various issues. The aim is to conclude that process as soon as possible.
