268. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he is aware of the ongoing blockages of bus lanes and bus stops that are creating serious safety risks and operational challenges for the Broadstone Garage bus fleet; if his Department will urgently intervene to ensure that 24-hour bus lane restrictions are enforced and that bus stops remain accessible for safe passenger boarding and disembarkation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Transport has responsibility for legislation underpinning the bus lane network. However, the enforcement of road traffic legislation, including the operation of bus lanes, is the responsibility of An Garda Síochána. I suggest the Deputy contacts An Garda Síochána directly with any enforcement concerns he may have relating to this matter.
