I can confirm that currently within my Department, all principal officer posts, including those relating to environmental protection, are currently resourced.

I can confirm to the Deputy that my Department has one officer at the grade of principal officer currently on secondment to the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union. This role is central to the co-ordination of the Department's efforts across its operational areas with our European colleagues, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
