The Statement of Strategy 2025–2028 has been approved and will be published forthwith. It was developed following extensive consultation with stakeholders and the public.

The Strategy will see my Department pursue a comprehensive range to actions to achieve four key priorities which are:

  • To foster research and innovation as an economic enabler
  • To provide high quality accessible tertiary education
  • To expand pathways to skills, reskilling, and apprenticeships that match Ireland’s evolving workforce needs.
  • To promote the pursuit of knowledge as a public good.
