To ask the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the number of those initially classified as juveniles who were subsequently determined to be over the age of 18 who were initially placed in Oberstown Children’s Detention Centre, in each of the past five years, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Cases of young people being initially classified as juveniles who were subsequently determined to be over the age of 18 are very rare and have happened only three times in the past five years.
