The Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the maintenance of Arterial Drainage Schemes completed under the Arterial Drainage Acts 1945 and 1995, as amended, and maintains these schemes in proper repair and effective condition under section 37 of the Act.
The location referenced forms part of the Corrib-Headford Arterial Drainage Scheme, which is under the auspices of the OPW. The Headford River (CH2), is maintained annually by the OPW. Records indicate that maintenance works on this Channel were undertaken throughout September 2025 and were completed in early October. The landowner can contact the OPW's Regional Office if any further concerns remain.
