The Department of Defence and Defence Forces operate a joint planning working group which reviews planning applications likely to have a potential impact on Defence Forces infrastructure and operations. If necessary, submissions can be made to the relevant planning authority with respect to a specific development in line with operational needs and taking congisance of overall Government policy. At this juncture, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further.
