In line with the Public Services Management Act 1997, the Strategic Implementation Team in my Department coordinated the development of DCEE's current Statement of Strategy, Le Chéile 28 which outlines the Department’s vision, mission and key strategic goals over the next 3 years to ensure the delivery of our objectives and the commitments in the Programme for Government.

Le Chéile 28 was developed through significant engagement at all levels within the Department and through extensive consultation across government, industry, academia, the climate and environmental sectors, and the public. Le Chéile 28 was approved by my Department's Management Board, as the senior management team in my Department, and by me before being submitted to Government in July 2025.

Le Chéile 28 forms the foundation for annual business planning within the Department to ensure that teams developing and implementing the strategy are strategically aligned, adequately resourced and structured to deliver on the commitments in the Programme for Government and the wider objectives of my Department.
