In light of clarification that this question relates to spending on external communications and media training paid for by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the below figures are a breakdown of Departmental spending on the provision of such services by companies in each of the past five years. This does not include training or classes provided by higher education institutions. Communications courses are also provided by the Civil Service digital learning hub, One Learning.
These figures are separate to spending on other communications supports, including advertising or creative or technical support for the Department’s promotional or public awareness campaigns.
