The Cabinet Committee on Northern Ireland was created on 18 February 2025 to oversee implementation of relevant Programme for Government commitments and ongoing developments in relation to Northern Ireland, Irish-British relations, and the Shared Island Initiative.

Membership of the Cabinet committee consists of the Taoiseach, the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, and for Defence; the Minister for Finance; the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation; and the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.

This Cabinet Committee meets biannually. Its last meeting took place on 12 May. We will be meeting again shortly.
