I can provide the Deputy with the number of students that have been awarded and paid a grant under the Student Grant Scheme for the current academic year. These are students that are attending approved full-time or part-time courses at PLC, undergraduate and postgraduate level in approved institutions.

* Please note that fee only awards have not yet been paid as reconciliation of fees occurs in April/May each year. Once reconciliation is complete in Spring 2026, SUSI will pay awarded fees for the 2025/26 academic year directly to the institutions.

The HEA, on their Key Facts & Figures dashboard, provides a thorough profile of the student population in higher education institutions. The latest dashboard includes figures from 2017/18 to 2023/24 and is available on the HEA website. The data on 2024/2025 & 20205/26 is not available on the HEA website at this time.
