I propose to take Questions Nos. 1139, 1140 and 1141 together.

The most recent data available is for the academic year 2024/2025 and is sourced from the HEA. Detailed enrolment data on HEA-funded higher education institutions is available on the HEA's website.

The total number of students enrolled at Dublin City University is 19,890 for 2024/2025. This continues an upward trend of students enrolled at the university, up from 19,135 the previous year, and up from 16,450 in 2019, using 2019 as a baseline figure.

The total number of students enrolled in University of Galway is 20,095 for 2024/2025. Similarly, this shows an increase on the previous year (19,335), and on 2019, when the number enrolled was 18,690.

The number of first year students starting their studies, categorised as 'new entrant' students on the HEA database, registered in 2024/2025 in Trinity College Dublin was 3,630. This shows an increase on the previous year (3,575) and also shows a similar upward upward trajectory since 2019, when the number of first year new entrants was 3,115.
