1119. To ask the Minister for Health the reason Children’s Health Ireland has not yet published its 2024 annual report; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that, according to the last annual report, it was sitting on €42 million and is currently marked as red by the Charities Regulator for having not filed its report; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Section 10 of the Children's Health Act 2018 requires Children's Health Ireland to prepare annual financial statements and submit them for audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General. These statements are then presented to myself and subsequently laid before the Oireachtas.

I have been advised that the Children's Health Ireland Board is currently liaising with the Comptroller and Auditor General regarding this process in relation to the 2024 financial statements.

In relation to the €42 million referred to by the the Deputy, this appears to relate to the 2024 financial statements of the Children’s Health Foundation which is a separate entity to Children's Health Ireland.
