To ask the Minister for Health to provide details of the retention and emigration of newly qualified doctors and nurses for each graduation year since 2010 to date in 2025; the number who entered HSE employment within one year of qualification; the number who emigrated or were not practising in Ireland within two years; and the data sources used to monitor these figures, such as the Medical Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, the CSO and Revenue employment records. To ask the Minister for Health the total cost of international recruitment of healthcare professionals including agency fees, relocation supports, and induction costs; and to compare the cost to the estimated annual cost of emigration of domestically trained nurses and doctors in each of the past five years.
