781. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the status of the report on the old Cork Prison that was expected for publication in November 2024; the reason for the delay in its publication; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [61842/25]

I can confirm that the Irish Prison Service did commission a consultant report into the feasibility of using Cork Old Prison.
The report was presented to the Irish Prison Service in late 2024 and was duly considered and relevant action taken.
However, it has been the practice that such reports would not be released into the public domain, as the information is for internal and official use only. Accordingly, a departure from this accepted practice is not being considered at this time.
