716. I propose to take Questions Nos. 714 to 716, inclusive, together.
Officials from my Department will be in direct contact with the person who has raised this query shortly.
I can advise the Deputy that my Departments Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) website sets out general guidance for any unaccompanied minor travelling to Ireland, including what documents are required. Further information is available at the following link: www.irishimmigration.ie/at-the-border/travelling-with-children/
Insofar as this particular type of travel is concerned, the suspension of a requirement for re-entry visas for children under 16 was introduced in 2022. However, it should be noted that this only applies to minors who are travelling to Ireland and are accompanied by a legal guardian and who has a valid immigration permission to be in the State. Where a child is not accompanied and is a visa required national, a visa is required for travel.
Further information is available on my Departments ISD website here:
I would encourage the Deputy to engage with my Departments Oireachtas Mail facility at: , should the applicant cited have any outstanding queries.
Finally in general terms, a minor who holds a Stamp 3 immigration permission as a dependent is granted permission in line with the primary applicant, and my officials will engaged further with the person in question in this regard.
