I refer to your recent representations on behalf of Eimear O'Dwyer of St Mary's NS, Barndarrig, Kilbride, A67 R296, Co Wicklow in relation to accommodation at the school.

The school was approved funding under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme 2024: Provision of Modular Accommodation under the Department’s Special Education Needs (SEN) Reconfiguration and Modular Accommodation programme to enable reconfiguration works to provide 2 X SEN and a Soft Play Area.

The Department of Education and Youth (DEY) are currently pending confirmation from the Contractor as to when these works will be completed.

My department is fully aware of the urgency in respect of this accommodation and will be working closely with the project managers and the school authority to keep it updated on delivery and timelines.
