The large scale capital project referred to by the Deputy at Mount Temple Comprehensive School is at Stage 4 - In Construction.
The project brief is the construction of a new predominantly 3-storey 1,000 pupil post-primary school building. The development will include the demolition of 6 existing buildings on the site (non-protected structures); 5 of which are currently in use by the school, all will be demolished on a phased basis to accommodate the development.
Works commenced on site in January of this year with a contract duration of approximately 26 months. Subject to no issues arising, completion is estimated at Quarter 1 of 2027.
