In my Department a total of 10 contracts underwent post-award variations during the period 2022–2024. The details are presented in the table below. The top three most common drivers of variations identified are as follows: delays in project Delivery, changes in service demand and addition to scope of work.

Domino/Lotus Notes Support/Development 72000000: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet & support €300,000 € 603,485 +101% Involved more expenditure than originally projected as the Department had planned to migrate off Lotus Notes which hosted Employment Permits and Trade Licensing, but delivery of these projects took longer than expected which meant the contract incurred more expenditure on keeping the Lotus Notes system operational.
