The delay in processing the employment permit application for the individual in question is due to immigration related issues that must be taken into account before a decision can be made.
In accordance with the Employment Permits Acts, applications for employment permits must be assessed in the context of the applicant’s current immigration status. Where immigration issues arise, these may impact the individual’s eligibility to reside and work in the State.
The application is currently under active consideration by a Reviewing Officer in the Employment Permits Section, and a decision will be issued shortly, once all relevant factors have been fully assessed in line with legislative and policy requirements.
