Any proposals for funding for an intestinal failure unit in St. James's Hospital will be considered as part of the REO's overall priorities for services across the REO. Any business case will need to be submitted to the HSE for consideration as part of the overall 2026 NSP planning process and with regard to competing priorities for resources available in 2026.
