Ireland's mission network is kept under review within the context of the Global Ireland 2025 Strategy. As part of this approach, and in consultation across government, we continue to strengthen and expand our presence abroad.

Ireland is accredited to Armenia on a non-resident basis, by the Ambassador of Ireland based in Sofia. In May of this year, Ambassador Catherine Bannon presented credentials to President Khachaturyan of Armenia and represented Ireland at the Yerevan Dialogue. Our honorary consul, Jonathan Stark, is doing excellent work to promote and deepen relations.

There are no current plans to establish an Embassy in Armenia. However, Ireland looks forward to deepening our warm bilateral relations further, as well as through continuing to engage with Armenia in the context of the EU's Eastern Partnership.
