To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if his Department is considering legislation to permit retention planning applications for sites currently used as accommodation centres that may not have obtained appropriate planning permission, having regard to recent case law (details supplied). My colleague, the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration is currently considering introducing legislation to regularise the planning status of development works at a number of sites. It would be prudent for the Deputy to address his question directly to my colleague.
