My Department made one tax settlement with the Revenue Commissioners in the period in question. This settlement, in the amount of €175,382, was made in 2021 following review of an agreed arrangement in place with the Revenue Commissioners in respect of the calculation of reclaimable VAT for MET Éireann. Relevant processes and procedures have since been put in place to ensure a year-end review is undertaken and corrections are made to the annual reclaimable VAT rate when detailed information is available.

Bodies under the aegis of my Department are independent in the performance of their functions and my department does not maintain the requested information in respect of their interactions with Revenue. The Deputy may wish to contact the State bodies directly for details of tax settlements.
