115. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if he is aware of the decision by University Hospital Waterford to discontinue the provision of coronial post-mortems at University Hospital Waterford with effect from 1 January 2026; if he will set out the alternative arrangements, if any, which are planned for the southeast region, covering the counties of Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Carlow, which currently depend on this service; his views on whether the withdrawal of this service would amount to his Department disclaiming a long-standing statutory and public health obligation; and if he will make urgent representations, in consultation with the Minister for Health, to ensure that this essential service continues to be provided locally, promptly and within the existing modern mortuary facilities at University Hospital Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
