100. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection whether his Department has projects, contracts, or pilots currently being undertaken or in development that make use of agentic AI; if the use of these technologies is internal only or public facing; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently examining the potential future use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technologies. This has involved active participation in several stakeholder groups, such as, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment's working group on the implementation of EU AI Act. My Department follows the "Guidelines for the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Public Service", published in May 2025.

There are no agentic A.I. systems in place in the Department. My officials are examining the potential future use of AI technologies to enhance service delivery quality and efficiency. My Department has recently established an Innovation Hub, to allow the organisation to assess and evaluate the potential use of AI in a safe and secure manner going forward.
