The Abridged Estimates for Public Services, to include Vote 36 (Defence) were published at programme level only, as part of the Expenditure Report for Budget 2026. Similar to other years, subhead allocations at this point, remain as draft only and are subject to change, pending a period of internal and external dialogue, as part of annual Revised Estimate Volume (REV) discussions.

The Revised Estimates Volume for all Votes are expected to be finalised, published and made publicly available in December by the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform & Digitalisation, wherein final subhead allocations and associated performance metrics can be  accessed and viewed.
