An application for Voluntary Return was received from the person referred to by the Deputy on 27 August 2025 and continues to be processed.

It is not possible to provide a specific indication as to when a decision will issue. However, the person concerned can be assured that there will be no avoidable delay in processing their application to finality.

If the person concerned has any queries regarding their application, it is open to them to contact the Voluntary Return Unit at voluntaryreturns@justice.ie.

As an Oireachtas member, the Deputy can also request the status of individual immigration cases by e-mail, using the Oireachtas Mail facility at: IMoireachtasmail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Question process.
