The person concerned reached pension age on 1 September 2021.
The records of my Department show that, from their date of entry into insurable employment on 3 February 1975, the person concerned has 1,324 paid contributions and 4 credited contributions. This equates to a yearly average of 29 which gives entitlement to 85% of the max rate of pension or €246.30 per week.
This decision was reviewed on 23 June 2025 resulting in no change to their rate of payment. A copy of the contribution record used issued for their information.
If the person concerned would like this decision reviewed further, they are welcome to write to my Department outlining the specific grounds for the review and to provide any supporting documentation that may assist with the review.
It is open to the person concerned to apply for the State Pension (non-contributory) which is a means-tested payment (based on their share of household means) with a maximum payment of 95% of the State Pension (contributory).
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
