Ireland is designated as a programme country under the Erasmus+ programme. As part of the programme, each programme country must nominate a national authority to monitor and supervise the management of the programme at national level. Ireland’s nominated Erasmus+ national authority is based in my Department.

As national authority, my Department has designated the Higher Education Authority (HEA) as national agency for Erasmus+ in the field of higher education and Léargas as the national agency in the fields of education, youth and community work, vocational education and training.

The information within the scope of the Deputy’s question is held by the above national agencies. Contact details for these bodies are set out below, should the Deputy wish to contact theses national agencies directly with his query.

The contact e-mail for Léargas is oireachtas@leargas.ie and the designated officials for assisting Oireachtas members are Lorraine Gilligan and Damien Healy.

The contact e-mail for the HEA is Oireachtas@hea.ie and the designated official is Trevor Purtill.
