200. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if his Department is using agentic AI in the delivery of its services or operations; if it is considering the use of agentic AI, and in what contexts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [55701/25]

My Department does not currently use any Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies including agentic AI. My Department recently completed a proof of concept with EY on the viability of using AI, using Microsoft Co-Pilot on housing data. This was completed at no cost to the Department. The lessons learned from this pilot project will be utilised in the future. At present, my Department is finalising the AI policy that outlines the framework for the legal, secure and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Department.
