As the Deputy may be aware my department supports schools through funding from the furniture & equipment scheme (F&E) to have sufficient appropriate furniture and equipment to meet the needs of the vast majority of children. New toys and/or their replacement does not fall under the Furniture and Equipment Scheme and should be funded by the school, it is open to the school to use their Minor works grants for this purpose.
