I should clarify at the outset that the Registrar of Companies is a statutory role and has operational independence in the exercise of related functions.
I am informed that the Companies Registration Office (CRO) does facilitate digital signatures using the Revenue Online Service (ROS) Digital Signing Cert. This functionality is available for a large number of CRO forms, covering the most common activities such as the filing of annual returns and the changing of directors and their details. The Registrar periodically reviews and updates the forms that may be submitted electronically to the CRO.
