A General Employment Permit Renewal application in respect of the individual concerned was received by the Employment Permits Section on 23 July 2025 and is currently awaiting processing.

As of 07 October 2025, the Department is processing Renewal Applications (All renewable permit types included) received on 15 July 2025. Applications are assessed in the order in which they are received and will be reviewed in due course.

Renewal applications are not prioritised, as the individual may continue working while their renewal is being processed, even if their current permit has expired. Exceptions may be considered only in cases where the applicant is due to leave the State and may encounter immigration difficulties upon return.

Applicants can check the current processing dates for employment permits on the Department’s website at the following link: enterprise.gov.ie/en/what-we-do/workplace-and-skills/employment-permits/current-application-processing-dates/.
