I understand that the question relates to pay scales in the Local Government sector and specifically those of refuse collectors working outside the Dublin area.
While Public Sector pay is set at national level by the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, under section 158(1)(d) of the Local Government Act, my Department issues circulars setting out the rates of pay for local authority employees.
Local Government employees received pay increases during the period in question (2013 to date) in line with the each Public Sector Agreement. Refuse Collectors working outside the Dublin Area received 18 pay increases during this period. An exact breakdown of pay scales and dates of increases received is contained in tabular form as requested.
Local Government employees are due to receive further general round increases in annualised basic salary on 1 February 2026 and 1 June 2026 in line with the Public Service Agreement 2024-2026.
