The National Care Experience Progamme is a partnership initiative between the Department of Health, the HSE and HIQA. The programme conducts surveys which ask people about their experiences of care in order to improve the quality of health and social care services in Ireland.

The second National Maternity Experience Survey took place in 2025. Women who gave birth in February or March 2025 received an invitation to take part in the survey three months after the birth of their baby. The survey closed on 18 July.

The findings of the survey will be published at the end of 2025.
