The person referred to by the Deputy has been issued with a proposal of intention to be deported under the Immigration Act 1999, as amended, and has made representations to remain in the State in response to this proposal.

I can assure the Deputy that a full consideration of all aspects of this case will be carried out before a decision is made to grant the person concerned permission to remain in Ireland or to make a Deportation Order.

It is not possible to provide a specific indication as to when this case will be finalised. However, the person concerned can be assured that there will be no avoidable delay in having their case brought to finality.
