The Department of the Taoiseach works with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) to ensure that best practice is followed in the procurement and use of software programmes. The Department leverages technologies available from cloud service providers in line with the stated advice of the OGCIO.

Details of the amount expended on cloud storage solutions in the past five years and to date in 2025 are set out in the table below.
