The Office of Public Works has hosted concerts in the Phoenix Park for a number of years. The most recent concert series took place from the 20th to 22nd June 2025 where Zach Bryan played to 60,000 attendees each night.

The local community around the Phoenix Park are a priority for the OPW during all events. The promoter is required to engage with the local community in a meaningful way and demonstrate a high level of commitment to addressing their reasonable needs in advance of, during and post any event.

I will ask my officials to consider the inclusion of a ‘community gain’ clause in the terms and conditions for future concerts in the Phoenix Park. However, it should be noted that the fee charged by the OPW to the promoter is returned directly to the Exchequer and as such, is recorded as direct income to the State.
