I am advised by Revenue that the total revenue generated from Local Property Tax (LPT) and Vacant Homes Tax (VHT) is available, by year, on the Revenue website at : www.revenue.ie/en/corporate/information-about-revenue/statistics/property-taxes/yearly-stats/2025/index.aspx

The projected revenue for these taxes, for 2026, is not yet available. LPT and VHT returns are due to be filed in November 2025.

The LPT figure for 2026 will be impacted by the inclusion of newly built properties, LPT revaluation and by the local adjustment factor decisions of local authorities. The rate of VHT for the chargeable period ending 31 October 2025 will be 7 times the rate of LPT.
