As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The query raised by the Deputy is an operational matter for AirCoach and Bus Éireann Expressway. AirCoach is a commercial bus operator and responsibility for the operation of the service is a matter for the company. Bus Éireann also operates commercial services under the Expressway brand.
As the NTA are the licencing authority for commercial bus operators, I have forwarded the Deputy's query to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
