To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to list all approvals and payments under the Community Centres Investment Fund to County Carlow and County Kilkenny detailing centre name, location, category/strand, approval date, amount approved, and amount paid; the totals, by county from 2020 to date in 2025 and any earlier pilot related schemes in 2020–2021, in tabular form. The Community Centre Investment Fund (CCIF) has provided approximately €110 million since 2022 for the enhancement and refurbishment of existing community centres and the construction of new centres.
Over €45.8 million was approved for some 861 community centres nationwide under CCIF 2022. In early 2024, funding of over €30 million was approved for the construction of 12 new community centres under CCIF 2023, including the Tullow Road Community Hub in Carlow. Under the 2024 iteration of the fund, over €33 million was approved to support refurbishment works on over 770 projects nationwide.
Details of the projects funded in Co Carlow and Co Kilkenny as requested by the deputy are in the attached tables.
