My Department's CLÁR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas.
The closing date for receipt of applications under CLÁR 2025 has now passed for all measures.
My officials are assessing the applications received, including the project referenced by the Deputy in his question.
This project application was submitted under measure 1 and I expect to announce the successful projects under measure 1 later in the year.

My Department's CLÁR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas.
The CLÁR programme in 2025 includes a range of different funding measures, including measure 1 which supports community facilities and amenities. Applications under measure 1 are submitted to my Department via the local authorities. Each local authority can submit up to 15 applications, increasing to 16 where they have a Gaeltacht area.
The closing date for receipt of applications under CLÁR 2025 has now passed for all measures. I understand that the application referred to by the Deputy was submitted to Kerry County Council. However, as the scheme was over subscribed locally, this application was not included in the list of applications submitted by the local authority to my Department for consideration. I would suggest that the Deputy contact the local authority directly to discuss the merits of this project and potential funding options in the future.
I expect to announce the successful projects under measure 1 CLÁR 2025 in the coming months.
