My Department's CLÁR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas.
The organisation referred to by the Deputy was awarded funding under the 2023 programme. The organisation subsequently sought to change a number of the elements of the approved project. Officials in my Department reviewed that request and advised that the change had not been approved as the new works differed substantially from what was originally approved.
The applicant has appealed that decision and I expect a review of that appeal to be completed in the coming days.
