The data requested by the Deputy is in the spreadsheet attached. This data was sourced from the Student Records System of the Higher Education Authority (HEA). This is enrolment data from 2015/2016 academic year to the most recent available and is rounded to the nearest 5.
The Deprivation Index Score (DIS) information is also included, it shows that the majority of students studying GEM of 'marginally above average' areas. This information was supplied by the HEA who commenced gathering this data in 2017.
The HEA have advised that Progression and Completion data is not available for Graduate Entry Medicine courses as progression is calculated for new entrants only and GEM is only available to graduates who meet the entry criteria. New Entrants are students who have entered higher education for the first time.
