I understand that funding for a small number of ambulances has been provided through the CLÁR programme, operated by the Department of Rural & Community Development & the Gaeltacht. This scheme provides funding for the purchase of vehicles by groups that operate in designated rural areas, including for first responder groups such as referred to by the deputy.
