I propose to take Questions Nos. 852 and 859 together.

An Garda Síochána publishes data on the allocation of Gardaí by Division, Station, and rank. This can be found at the following link:

www.garda.ie/en/about-us/our-departments/human-resources-and-people-development/garda-hr-directorate/garda-strength-breakdown-2025/

The Deputy should select the Garda Workforce figures for July and access the file titled “Garda members by Division District Station 2009 to 31 July 2025” under the for a breakdown of Gardaí by Garda station going back to 2009.

In order to access figures on Community Garda the Deputy should use the link above and access the file titled “Community Garda by division 2008 to 31 July 2025” that provides a breakdown of Community Gardaí by Garda division going back to 2008.

Published information is supplied by An Garda Síochána and the end of July 2025 is the latest date for when information is available.

The Garda Commissioner is responsible for the distribution and stationing of Garda personnel throughout the State under Section 33 of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. As Minister, I have no role in these independent functions.

I have been informed by Garda authorities that the table provided sets out the number of charging points that An Garda Síochána have installed at Garda stations across the country.

Charger Speed 7 kW AC 22 kW AC 25 kW AC 50 kW AC Total
No. of sockets 159 110 5 4 278
The deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the entire Garda organisation is continuing, with additional Garda stations being equipped with charging facilities each month.

An Garda Síochána publishes detailed information on the Garda fleet from 2008 to date, including a breakdown of the Garda fleet by fuel type. This is publicly available on their website at the following link:

www.garda.ie/en/about-us/our-departments/finance-services/finance-fleet-management.html.
